Mackenzie Critch is a nineteen-year-old award-winning singer-songwriter from Paradise. Her music is described as a mix of Adele and Dolly Parton. She is classically and contemporarily trained in vocals, piano, and guitar. She is a seasoned musician with extensive awards and accomplishments, including the 2019 CMTC National Singing Competition in Ontario, where she placed first out of thousands of contestants. The 2022 Music NL NewFound Talent first place award. Mackenzie opened up for the world-renowned Boney M feat. Liz Mitchel at two sold-out shows, Coner Brook and St. John’s, in Dec. 2022. She also performed on the main stage for NL FOLK FEST 2023. She has played over 70 gigs in 2023 and has hopes to do that and more in 2024. Mackenzie released her first singles called “‘03” and “I Ain’t Me,” which got a lot of traction from local and national radio stations. She is now in the process of writing and recording her debut album.
